Apprenticeship Program
Our apprenticeship program spans five years, combining hands-on work experience with classroom learning. Apprentices engage in full time positions with contractors during the day, gaining valuable skills and are required to complete a minimum of 8,500 hours of on-the-job training alongside 1,230 related instruction hours by attending classes three times a week in the evening during the school year.
Curriculum includes trade related math, isometric drawing, play reading, welding & cutting, OSHA classes, soldering & brazing, medical gas installation, steam, hydronics and air conditioning.
Upon completing the program, apprentices will achieve licenses, safety certificates and knowledge necessary to be a skilled and capable craftsman.
UA certified instructors attend class every year to stay up to date with new programs, techniques, and training.
Selection into the program is without regards to race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
